In this week’s thesis class, we did a brainstorming exercise to prepare for our direction of graduation design. First of all, we selected three words that we want to keep study. I chose VR gaming / 3D animation / interaction design. Actually, I haven’t fully figured out my research direction, so the words I choose are very broad. I’ve always been interested in making a VR interactive game. Although Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t respond well after it was released, I like its concept very much, including several popular game movies, such as Ready Player One and Free Guy, the concepts of immersive games are attracted the audience attention. This will be a huge project, so I have the idea of cooperating with my friend, and how to set the plot interesting and simple is also a great challenge. In addition, I also have the idea of combining games with practical problems in real society. After all, the graduation project only takes half a year to produce, and I don’t want to show only a semi-finished product in the end. Therefore, choosing a combination of social problems and games will be a better way to reduce the amount of work.

Although my initial idea was to design many parallel worlds, such as people in different cosmic spaces can contact and communicate with each other, or even trade with each other, but now it seems that it may be too complicated. I hope there will be other new thinking collisions after working with my teammate. Our tentative design idea is to use Max and unity to design the interactive relationship, and then use other three-dimensional software to increase the delicacy of the game itself.

I hope to narrow the research direction as soon as possible next week and put the topic on the right track.
