After finishing the final presentation this week, I got some useful feedback and made responses and improvements in my pre thesis paper.

The first question you raised about me is that the two parts of my game content, acupoint massage and body exercises, seem to be independent. I thought about it. Although acupoint massage and body exercises seem relatively independent, their core is the most basic Qi in the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. My original intention is to use Qi as the link of the whole game, which can have a complete train of thought of traditional Chinese medicine.

Educational games integrate knowledge, health, entertainment and other functions, effectively stimulating users’ interest in learning. There is no doubt that the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine through games will make this complex and bitter discipline more closely combined with the times and increase the public’s understanding and love of traditional Chinese medicine. Unfortunately, there are few games related to traditional Chinese medicine with preliminary UI/UX design, and only students majoring in conventional Chinese medicine know and use them. Therefore, I want to target my project to young people who are interested in traditional Chinese medicine and game and create a more intuitive way to understand and understand traditional Chinese medicine for them. The content of the game mainly spreads the relatively simple and easy to understand but very practical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, and the audience is non-traditional Chinese medicine professionals. For now, I would like to use VR as the platform and Qi as the central concept to demonstrate different forms that traditional Chinese medicine uses to help achieve the best physical condition, such as acupoint pressing and health exercises. In other words, I am interested in encouraging the users to explore the induction and connection between humankind and Qi from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and experience the wonders of traditional Chinese medicine. My project will not face the professional school or doctors, but if they only want to play a game that would be welcome as well.

Moreover, since it was a game that fit for both young and middle aged people, my target group are people who are willing to take the new challenges and interested in Chinese medicine.

Furthermore, I am really excited to get the news that Todd will be my secondart advisor! I just visted his studio two days ago, and I am really looking forward to working with him of my thesis. I believe he would be very helpful for both technic problems and idea.

During the winter break, I would try my best to finish the avatar design, including skeleton and rigging. So that I would move to set up the animation and the VR environment for the next sememster.
